omg okay so this is just how ridiculous I am, midway through reading through your post I dropped my computer mouse and shut down the window in error and I could not locate your web site once again until 6 days afterwards to finish reading where I left off mainly because I didn’t remember how I linked to your site in the first place lol anyway it was worth the wait..kudos

When I moved to London 8 years ago I started work straight away, so I never really had a chance to do any sightseeing. The new English friends I made had no interest in touring the city they’d grown up in. I had to wait until some relatives came over from New Zealand, then I dragged them all over the city until they were near collapse. I didn’t even know the Lord Mayor’s Show existed until now!!! Now it’s firmly on my ‘To Do’ list.

How old are your boys? There’s loads of military stuff like tanks, jeeps, guns, bayonnets, soldiers etc if they’re into that, it rather went over our heads though!

I know, I think my eight years away in Brussels have helped me fall back in love with London. I adore that space prawn – I might just stick that picture in every time I use the word ‘random’ in a post – which, if it’s about my teenager, will be about 4,000 times!

I grew up in London and really didn’t appreciate the architecture, pomp and circumstance or the availability of such wonderful shopping. It wasn’t until I moved away that I begun to realise how much I took for granted. Fab piccies, definitely love the prawn: which is indeed “random” lol!

Ah the lord mayors coach, brings back memories. Our middle school managed to get school parties banned from the “London Transport Museum” after a partiuclarly naughty boy jumped the velvet ropes and climbed on top of it.
